Company Milestones:

1989 Company founded under the name CompAct Systems by Zahir Dhalla
1989-94 Specialized in development of custom illustration solutions for UL, term annuities, critical illness, disability and participating insurance plans. Development efforts focused on DOS-based solutions for illustration systems, insurance concepts, etc.
1995 Released first Windows-based illustration system.
1997 Released first base calculation engine and complementary components. Participated in development of CLHIA consumer protection guidelines.
2000 Formed marketing alliance with SOLCORP, aleading provider of software solutions to the life insurance industry. The two companies co-developed a pilot interface between their systems for the Individual Life Systems group of Co-operator’s Life Insurance Company.
2001 Released first real time, vendor-built inforce illustration system in Canada.
2002 Partnered with COSS Development Technologies of Mequon, WI to market, deliver and service a range of COSS desktop and web-based financial planning solutions throughout Canada. Provides COSS with local presence to provide service and support to Canadian customers.
2003 Launched first web inforce policy illustration solution.

Functionality

Comprehensive new business and inforce policy illustration solution available as a standalone desktop application or as a web-based, client/server application. Flexible and easy to use, its component-based architecture ensures rapid deployment of new products and efficient customization and update. Robust, rules-based architecture minimizes need for custom programming by allowing business users to participate in the creation of the final product. From the simplest to the most complex illustrations and concepts, the system supports a wide array of insurance products including: Whole Life, Term, UL, Annuities, Long Term Care, CI and DI and advanced concepts such as Leverage, Split Dollar, Estate Bond and Pension Maximization.
